Mata ka Jagran is mainly carried out during the night period and the worship of God and Goddesses like Durga Mata, Shiva, and Hanuman are performed. All the devotees get blessings from this God and Goddess. The puja of Mata can be performed on any auspicious day of the year.

Mata ka Jagran is performed to get the blessings of goddess Durga Mata and gods like Hanuman, Shiva, and Krishna. In some regions, worship of Lord Ganesha, Gauri, and Mata Saraswati is also performed. The worship of Mata is a holy program in which lots of devotees gather and perform dancing, and singing to impress their God and Goddess and get blessings from them. This program is mainly performed during the night therefore it is called Jagran.
During the Jagran, a small Puja is performed by the Pandit Ji to worship the God and Goddess and after that program of Bhajan, Kirtan, singing, and Dancing gets started. Life comes with good as well as uncertain events in life. So, when uncertain or rough events come into life, everyone requires blessings from God and Goddess.
